While Nutella’s been a success among children and adults since the 1960’s all around the world due to its creamyΒ hazelnut chocolate taste, sadly it’s not as nutritious as its makers would like you to think it is. Kelp Noodles: How To Prepare & Enjoy This Super Food

I’m crazy about all things “Noodle”. Asian cuisineΒ has long been at the top of my culinary inspiration. I absolutely adore noodle dishes, exotic vegetables, different textures and colors as well as the decadent spices present in most Asian meals. However, since I began avoiding MSG at all cost, my repertoire of Asian restaurants where I used to beΒ a regular Β diminished significantly. I truly believe in clean eating so I set out to find healthy alternatives to my favorites.

A couple of years back I tasted Korean Kelp Noodles for the first time and instantly fell in love. Since then, I’ve found local supplies and experimented with a variety of dishes featuring this tasty super food. Everything from fresh noodle salads to elaborate Kelp Noodle Stir Fries. I have to admit that I prefer them cooked so I most often use them in my Asian Fusion soups, stir fries and sautΓ©es.

The Purrfect Breakfast

For many years breakfast was something I regularly skipped, even though many experts suggest it’s the most important meal of the day. That only worked for so longΒ and over time I would be crashing at work long before lunch time. So I started experimenting with breakfast.

A lot of people go the traditional way when it comes to morning eating… Cereals, toast, fruits, eggs & bacon and sandwiches tend to be on the menu. For me, carbs equal instant snooze button! I don’t follow a gluten free diet, however, one thing is certain: if I have pasta or bread, a couple of minutes later I’m only good for a nap. Forget about feeling energetic or focused.

I tried different combinations of food until I figured out the one best suited for me. OneΒ that actually boosts my metabolism and allows me to tackle each day’s challengesΒ head on.Β Read More »
